At first glance, this book weight appears to have a geometric pattern of hexagons divided into triangles. However, a closer look reveals that these hexagons are umbrellas and that beneath the umbrellas are people walking to some unknown destination. Drawn with white outlines on a subdued green, this fabric pattern reminds me of chalk drawings on a chalkboard.
This weighted bookmark is made with two layers of fabric for durability. The inner fabric layer is repurposed. The outer fabric layer is new cotton fabric, made in Japan. The weights are steel.
